Mort Metersky started his journey towards fine art photography when he joined the Newtown Camera Club, Newtown, Pa, in 1994. This was after after retiring as a Senior Operations Research Analyst with the U. S. Navy as as a civilian after 36 years with little experience with photography.
After five years of learning and taking many slides and entering club competitions where his images were critiqued, three of his images were accepted in a juried show in 1999. Since then he has been accepted in various juried shows, including one international show, exhibited his work in many venues and teaches photography. He is currently on the faculty of the Community Conservatory, an Art, Drama, and Music school with over 600 students located in Doylestown, Pa, where he teaches students from 10-71. He limits his classes to only five students.
He uses a Nikon D-70 digital camera and does photo enhancement using Photoshop Elements 6 on an iMac computer. His prints are on Epson Premium glossy paper and his Epson photo printer uses chrome long lasting ink.
He is cofounder of the Doylestown Photography Club in Doylestown, PA. The club started in April 2008 and just celebrated its first year with 80 members.
