Anne duBois Ditmars was born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania. A 40+ year resident, who has enjoyed photographing Bucks and Mercer counties for the past 15 years. Anne is a self taught artist/photographer who learned early on the appreciation for art. During the mid 1990's she went out and bought a Canon SLR and has dabbled in photography ever since. Starting as a hobby she now uses her photographs on the weekly bulletins at Ascension Lutheran Church in Newtown, PA. She also coordinates and promotes the Annual Ascension Lutheran Church Art Show which is now a yearly event. Several of her artistic relatives inspired her to pick up a paint brush and begin painting. Her great aunt, Helen Oldis studied with Harry Leith-Ross a famous landscape artist, in his converted barn on his estate, in the Bucks County town of New Hope, PA. Her late brother Daniel Ditmars was an artist and studied art at Penn State's Pennsylvania College of Technology. During the past few years Anne has increased her diligence for photography, sketching, painting and catches all occasions to improve on her art. Anne has helped organize and promote the Women Artists of Bucks County. She is a graduate of Bucks County Community College and continues her art education with her colleagues at their fine arts studios, local colleges and memberships with artid, Art Industri, Artnews.org, Artsbridge, iStockphoto, Langhorne Artists at the Farm, myartspace, River Poets, and TAWA.
